Glyn Dyer has hung up his boots after three years playing through a niggling injury.

That would have included playing through the pain for the Green Lions, with his last appearance in April 2019 when we came from 2-0 down against Sittingbourne to claim a point and ensure we stayed up on our own terms. He has since been back playing in the Priaulx League.

In total, Glyn made 177 appearances for GFC, scoring 26 goals (including a few belters that leave him seventh on the all-time goalscorers list), and will go down in history as having scored our first-ever competitive goal when he volleyed home the opener against Knaphill in August 2011 to get our journey off to a flying start. He played key roles in both our promotions, our FA Vase run in 2012-13 and FA Cup mini-run in late 2013.

Look after those hips Glyn, thanks for everything!
