Guernsey FC Women will lift the JFA Women's Combination trophy at Victoria Park on Saturday in a bumper double header.
It has been confirmed that head-to-head rather than goal difference is the differentiator in the league, so the Green Lionesses actually wrapped up the league title with their 5-1 win over St Peter in the final GFC match at Footes Lane. Their nearest chellengers Rozel Rovers are six points behind and could still technically catch the Sarnians, but two wins for us against them in Jersey means we have already triumphed in the head-to-head.
GFCW host Rozel in their first game at 1pm, followed by Jersey Wanderers at 4.30pm. The league trophy will be lifted after the second game.
Anna Gauvain has selected two squads for the two clashes, the first of which includes a potential new debutant in Jess Frampton.
Rozel Rovers (1pm): Emma Queripel, Kayleigh Marquis, Scarlett Kenneally, Scarlett Gallagher, Aimee Ogier, Vicki Rang, Jess Frampton, Candice Bougourd, Donna Gallienne, Emily McCartney, Chloe Ingrouille, Elise Le Lacheur, Amy Dallamore, Codie Le Flem, Gracia van Zutphen, Adrienne Leech.
Jersey Wanderers (4.30pm): Emma Queripel, Keyleigh Marquis, Scarlett Gallagher, Vicki Rang, Mollie Watson, Scarlett Kenneally, Chloe Ingrouille, Emily McCartney, Donna Gallienne, Candice Bougourd, Jessie Staples, Amy Dallamore, Codie Le Flem, Courtney Hicks, Adrienne Leech, Gracia van Zutphen.
Tickets for Saturday are just £5, which includes both games. There will be live music before and after the games from the School of Popular Music.
It is a bumper weekend at Victoria Park with the men's side taking on Southall in their relegation battle on Sunday afternoon.
Our camera crew are unavailable on Saturday, but we hope to bring you live commentary on our @GuernseyFC X space. There will be a report of the day on the website.
Victoria Avenue will remain open as usual throughout Saturday afternoon, and there is limited parking at the ground on a first come, first served basis.
