It's another new opponent for Guernsey as they head down towards Portsmouth to visit Horndean on Saturday afternoon.

Josh Addison is set to make his 100th appearance for the club, becoming only the second goalkeeper to reach a century after Chris Tardif. He will also become the 25th GFC player to hit that milestone.

The Green Lions are searching for that first win of the season, since March even, that could take them out the relegation zone ahead of a busy October.

Due to the progress of some of their opponents in the cups, it's been a stuttering start to the campaign for Tony Vance's side as it has been difficult to find any rhythm.

Tom Dodds is edging closer to a return from a fractured arm but is not quite ready, while Kieran Mahon and Jamie Dodd's are still out with the knocks that forced them off in their respective returns against Leatherhead. Youngsters Fin Patterson and Zach Gilman are unavailable as they represent the Guernsey FA U21s in the Malaya Cup against the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm. Dave Merris manages that representative side alongside former GFC midfielder Dave Rihoy, so he is also missing.

Young midfielder Alex Ward could feature for the the first time since opening day at Hartley Wintney, while the biggest boost is the return of playmaker Charlton Gauvain.

Brandon Wallace could make his 50th appearance for the Green Lions, while Sam Murray and Charlton Gauvain both have a chance to move up the club's all-time scoring charts.

The Deans were transferred into Isthmian South Central in the summer after a 14th-placed finish in Isthmian South East last season. They have adapted well to the move, winning three, drawing two and losing one of their opening six league matches. They have also made it to the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy.
