Guernsey FC Women rounded off their season in style in front of their own supporters, putting 11 past Sports Club of Jersey.

The visitors deserve a lot of credit for continuing to plug away despite having only 10 players for the whole 90 minutes, but the Green Lionsesses could have had more despite resting several of their star players on route to chalking up 80 goals for the season in just 14 games.

Isla Anderson got the first of her four goals, in only her second start, inside two minutes, lobbing Vania Faria from the edge of the box. She combined with Gracia van Zutphen to beat the offside trap for her second on 36 minutes.

Van Zutphen ran clear to slot the third into the bottom corner just before the break before the hosts ran riot in the second half, including four in just 10 minutes after the restart.

Anderson showed great feet in the box before her chip looped over Faria to complete her hat-trick, then Anna Gauvain's side won the ball back straight from the kick-off and Anderson gave her marker the slip before tucking in at the near post for her fourth and Guernsey's fifth.

Calleigh Hedley completed a hat-trick as a second-half substitute, like the last time she came on against Sports Club. her first came on 52 minutes as she created space in the box and drilled into the bottom corner. Captain for the day Aimee Ogier then headed from from a corner to make it seven.

Hedley did a Cruyff turn in the area before slamming home her second, then player coach Katie Robert came off the bench to score a lovely lob from the edge of the D. This was followed by a great moment for her as her daughter Mollie Watson returned to the pitch from the bench so they could play together for the first time, also marking the first parent-child combination in a Guernsey FC match.

Van Zutphen's second came via a big deflection that wrongfooted Faria as the Greens hit double figures - for her personally as well - then Hedley ran clear to complete her hat-trick in the dying minutes.

It is clear Gauvain's side are too good for this level and can hopefully make the step up into a UK league next season.
