Jacob Fallaize and Kieran Mahon are welcome returns to Tony Vance's squad as GFC entertain Westfield at Footes Lane on Saturday.

Centre-back Fallaize was suspended for the win over Chipstead after picking up five yellow cards, while central midfielder Mahon is back after several weeks out with a knee injury. Tom Vaudin is also back to bolster Tony Vance's defensive options, while there is also a recall for Tom Martin, who was sent off in his first appearance of the season a few weeks ago. Teenager Brandon Wallace is also included.

Charlton Gauvain (ankle) remains a long-term absentee, while Ross Allen is nearing a return after illness. Will Fazakerley joins the injury list with a knee complaint and so doesn't get the chance to build on his stunning own-half winner against Chipstead a fortnight ago.

Vance has named 17 players in his initial matchday squad, which will be cut to 16 when the teamsheet is handed in. The full squad is as follows: Addison, J Martin, Marsh, Vaudin, Fallaize, Dodd, Alvarez, Merris, Dodds, T Martin, K Mahon, L Mahon, Loaring, Wallace, Hale, Murray, Domaille.

The Green Lions dropped back to 17th last weekend as a result of not playing, but could find themselves in 14th by Saturday evening if they earn what would be their third win of the season. Westfield are sixth and need the points to hang onto the coattails of the play-offs, which they trail by four points with a game in hand. The Yellas are in good form, having won their last three as part of a five-game unbeaten run in the league.

Having reunited last season after previously facing each other a decade ago, the Surrey side were more successful in the two meetings in 2021-22. The most recent meeting was a 1-0 win for the hosts at Woking Park, while they came from 2-0 down at Footes Lane to claim a point almost a year ago, with the equaliser coming from the spot in the dying moments.

Saturday’s match kicks off at 2pm. Fans unable to make it to Footes Lane can follow live coverage on GFCTV. An update on the new pay-per-view service for GFCTV can be found here. Highlights and a full match report will be on the website after the game.
