Guernsey welcome back Simon Geall into the squad for the trip to Uxbridge on Saturday.
Geall, who has 197 appearance for the Green Lions, is called up to add some extra knowhow to a squad missing a few of its more experienced players for the Muratti semi-final in Alderney. He made a late cameo off the bench at Footes Lane against Chipstead more than a year ago, which was his first appearance for a couple of seasons.
Josh Addison, Matt Loaring, Jamie Dodd, Dave Merris, Dave Rihoy, Charlton Gauvain, Brandon Wallace and Tom Dodds are all involved with the island representative side, while Kieran Mahon is unavailable. So Geall joins Ross Allen in leading a young squad, but full of players who have excelled this season.
The Sarnians are looking to bounce back from a chastening eight days that has seen them suffer three heavy defeats. Their scoring streak is now over, but with more than half of their remaining games at home, Tony Vance's side will still be eyeing a strong end to the season.
Uxbridge were beaten 2-0 by Chipstead last weekend but that and a narrow defeat to Hanworth Villa are the only blots on their recent copybook, their form having improved dramatically in February after a nine-game winless streak from the Christmas period through January. That has been aided by a few new signings, including Troy Walters, who has three goal sin four games since joining in February.
They were beaten 3-0 at Footes Lane in the return fixture, with GFC's goals coming from Dodd, Loaring and Owen Wallbridge. Jacob Fallaize netted as the Green Lions earned a 1-1 draw at Honeycroft last season.
Saturday's match kicks off at 1.30pm. As it is an international break, fans not making the journey to Honeycroft can watch full live GFCTV coverage on our Facebook page, or keep up with our social media updates. Highlights will be uploaded to our social media and YouTube channels, with a full match report on the website.
