Ross Allen returns to the Guernsey squad as the Green Lions host Uxbridge on Sunday afternoon.

GFC’s record scorer has missed the last three games through illness, and rejoins the squad along with Dave Merris, who made his debut against Ashford Town on Saturday.

Tony Vance’s attacking options are further bolstered by the return of Keene Domaille, who has served his suspension.

The only ever-present this season, Keanu Marsh, will lose that accolade as he is away, while Kieran Mahon is still working his way back to full fitness and Tom Martin serves the final match of his ban. Charlton Gauvain (ankle) is the only long-term absentee.

The full squad is as follows: Addison, Martin, Vaudin, Fallaize, Dodd, Alvarez, Merris, Dodds, L Mahon, Loaring, Hale, Allen, Pereira, Le Tissier, Domaille, Fazakerley.

Having had three points snatched from them in stoppage time against Merstham on Monday, the Green Lions will feel they have a point to proove. In fact, the Sarnians have lost three points in the last two games thanks to conceding late in injury time. With the rest of the league having played on Saturday, the Sarnians will know a point will take them into 15th, and a win will send them 14th, including leapfrogging their opponents.

The West London side are playing catch-up with the rest of the league due to progression in the cups, which took them the second qualifying round of the FA Cup, while they are still alive in the FA Trophy having made it to the first round proper. They have won two, drawn two and lost two in the league so far. They just missed out on the play-offs last season, having lost two of their last three games.

Tom Jackson’s header earned Guernsey a point in this fixture last season. Ross Allen and Kieran Mahon scored into the reverse fixture in a 3-2 defeat.

Sunday’s match kicks off at 1pm. Fans unable to make it to Footes Lane can follow live coverage on GFCTV. An update on the new pay-per-view service for GFCTV can be found here. Highlights and a full match report will be on the website after the game.
