Guernsey came back from the dead to produce an astonishing turnaround and knock Kent League side Erith Town out of the FA Vase at the second round stage.

The Green Lions fell 3-0 behind but the match was marred by a horrific injury to midfielder Ryan-Zico Black, who suffered a double leg break in the first half, an incident for which Erith's Tyrus Gordon was sent off and for which the game was held up for nearly an hour while an ambulance was called for. It is highly unlikely we will see Zico again this season. Angus Mackay also suffered a knee injury in the first half that could keep him out for a few months.

At looked all over with 11 minutes to go and that the Sarnians' first experience of a national cup competition was coming to a premature end, but hit back against all odds thanks to a thumping volley from Jacques Isabelle, a close-range finish from Alex Le Prevost and a last gasp equaliser from Dave Rihoy to force extra-time.

And in the first period of extra time, GFC's extra man started to show as Ross Allen completed the incredible turnaround, which puts GFC into the draw for the last-64, to take place on Monday.
