Perhaps their momentous efforts against Dover had taken their toll, but Guernsey were not at their sharpest in this 2-2 draw in South London. But the point was enough to move them into the play-offs.
The Green Lions were outplayed in the first half and fell behind, only for goals from Ross Allen and Dom Heaume to put them into an fortuitous 2-1 lead at the break.
Both sides played some excellent football in the second half and Jordan Cheadle grabbed the point for Tooting with a stunning late free kick.
The hosts had a wonderful chance to win it in stoppage-time when they missed an open goal.
The Green Lions had another debutant with defender Nick Trebert coming off the bench late on. Dave Rihoy also returned to the side after missing the start of the season.
