Point will seal play-offs

A draw for Guernsey on Easter Monday as they host Forest Row will confirm their place in the Southern Combination Premier Division play-offs.

Saturday’s win at Roffey has put the top five in touching distance – though the Green Lions will want the three points to keep them in command of earning a home semi-final.

There will be changes to the squad with just a day’s rest in between the two fixtures. Jacques Cauvin’s knock that forced him off means that he will not be risked. Jacob Fallaize is still out but we could see Charlton Gauvain back in the squad, as well as Fin du Port and Ben Solway being available for selection again. Seb Vance remains out longer term with a shoulder injury.

The form of the two sides is quite the contrast. The Sarnians have 17 wins out of 20 and now have Haywards Heath Town in their sights after two surprise defeats (they also face Steyning Town in a top-two clash on Monday so a win for GFC will narrow the gap to somebody above them), whereas Frow are winless in 12 – their only win in 2026 was their first match of the year, quite the fall from grace as they had only lost one league game up until November and looked good for a promotion bid – now they are fighting to finish in the top half.

There is an element of revenge on the cards for Guernsey, having lost 6-2 in the reverse fixture just after Christmas (Sam Murray got both goals). They need to keep winning with Horsham YM breathing down their necks.

Monday’s match kicks off at 2pm. Fans unable to make it to Victoria Park can listen to full live commentary on Facebook Live or our @GuernseyFC X Space as well as keep up to date with our social media posts. A full match report will follow.
