Guernsey FC Women take another step in their journey as they welcome Chessington & Hook United to Victoria Park for the Green Lionesses’ first ever FA Cup match.
GFCW are entering their fourth season and this represents the next step in their journey.
Anna Gauvain is able to welcome Calleigh Hedley back to the squad after nearly a year out. There will also be two new faces as defenders Elenista Lambrou and Zakiyya Qasim, who recently moved to the island and both have experience of playing in senior women’s football in the UK.
Jess Frampton is unavailable, but Scarlett Gallagher is included to help out before she heads back to university.
Gauvain’s full squad is as follows: Alana Hockey, Aimee Ogier, Scarlett Kenneally, Elenista Lambrou, Zakiyya Qasim, Steph Batiste, Mollie Watson, Kelly Creed, Scarlett Gallagher, Emily McCartney, Amy Dallamore, Candice Bougourd, Donna Gallienne, Adrienne Leech, Elise Le Lacheur, Codie Le Flem, Calleigh Hedley.
Chessington & Hook play in the South East Counties Womens’ Surrey Premier Division, in which they finished seventh out of 10 teams last season.
The prize for victory for the Green Lionesses would be another home tie against Havant & Waterlooville or Horsham in the first qualifying round.
