Guernsey FC’s development side can go temporarily top of the Southern Combination U23 East Division if the beat table proppers Jarvis Brook on Wednesday night.
It would only be for 24 hours as either Eastbourne United or Peacehaven & Telscombe will gain enough from their clash to reclaim the summit, but it would leave Leon Meakin’s side as the only side to have a 100% win rate and put them in a position to cement top spot at a later date.
A late Theo Cooper-inspired turnaround at Little Common last week made it three for three for the young Lions.
Angus Mackay is the only veteran boosting the squad on this occasion but midfielder Corey Brouard joins up after missing the senior side’s win at Newhaven on Tuesday night due to work, to ensure he stays match sharp. Double hat-trick hero Charlie Robilliard is back after missing the Little Common win, while Regan Penney is also available again after being forced off with a knock against Saltdean United. Luke Elmy keeps it place which means both players will get some game time between the sticks. Sam Cooley is unavailable but Archie Le Huray is involved for the first time this season.
The full travelling squad is as follows: Regan Penney, Luke Elmy, Tom Solway, Etienne Vance, Angus Mackay, Riley Tyrrell, Corey Brouard, Elden Roberts, Alfie Torode, Charlie Robilliard, Tito Guimaraes, Pearce Le Poidevin, Archie Le Huray.
Jarvis Brook have lost all four of the league games so far.
Wednesday night’s game kicks off at 7.30pm. There won’t be commentary, but supporters not making the journey to Lime Kiln Playing Field at Crowborough in East Sussex can watch the full 90 minutes on our YouTube channel and keep up to date with our social media posts. A full match report will follow.
