At Guernsey FC, we were shocked to learn that former Green Lions defender Jacques Isabelle was recently diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia.
The good news is that there is a highly successful treatment available. However, it is very expensive.
A JustGiving page has been set up to help Jacques raise a target of £17,700. This is the minimum amount need, on the proviso that the insurance company involved agrees to provide support.
“Hoping you can all join me on this journey with your love and support,” Jacques wrote on his JustGiving page.
Jacques made 123 appearance for the Green Lions, mainly as a right-back, and certainly has a couple of memorable strikes among his six goals.
