240It looked like Ross Allen’s brace after coming off the bench would be enough to overturn an early deficit and earn the Green Lions’ a win on their first ever competitive trip to the mainland, but the visitors snatched an equaliser at the death.
A mix-up at Gatwick airport meant GFC’s kit went missing and so they played the first half in their hosts’ away strip, before being able to go back to their traditional green at half-time.
