The number 10 carried the ball straight from kick-off at the start of the second half, beat several players and lashed it into the bottom corner. Unfortunately the cameras missed it as they had left at half-time to cover Santa switching on the Christmas lights in town!
Kieran Mahon and Matt Loaring, twice, were also on the scoresheet. Such was the relentlessness of GFC’s attacking, visiting goalkeeper Robbie Whittaker was named man-of-the-match, despite conceding six, for a string of brilliant saves that probably kept the score down to single figures.
Pat Kirby’s consolation goal was the first Tony Vance’s side have conceded at home in the league.
