80A last-minute equaliser saw Guernsey’s title bid damaged on a dramatic night at Badshot Lea
The Green Lions led twice through Ollie McKenzie and Matt Loaring, but Darren Blake’s strike in the 90th minute secured a 2-2 draw for the hosts.
GFC thought they had then won it with the last kick when Nigel Hutton’s strike came back off the underside of the crossbar and clearly bounced over the line, but the assistant referee failed to spot it and Tony Vance’s side had to settled for the draw.
It was made more frustrating by the fact that leaders Egham Town could only draw with South Park, meaning the Sarnians missed the chance to close the gap once more.
