In a hard-fought game, Matt Loaring forced the ball home from close range after a goalmouth scramble on 51 minutes, which was enough to earn the victory to take Guernsey up in second place in the Combined Counties Premier Division.
The Green Lions thought they had more breathing space with a second when Ross Allen tucked into the far corner. The ball clearly crossed the line before it bounced off a support and with the the team and home fans celebrating wildly, the referee initially pointed towards the centre-spot before inexplicably letting the game continue as Farnham Town kept playing on and went on the attack.
But GFC held on and the final whistle sparked wild celebrations from players and fans alike, with the squad undertaking a lap of honour before the party could start in full.
Guernsey will be playing Step Four football next season.
