231Guernsey couldn’t take advantage of their game in hand as suffered their first away league defeat of the season on Wednesday night at Fetcham Grove.
Ian Draycott gave the hosts an early lead and the Green Lions struggled to get back into it, seeing lots of the ball but unable to to a lot with it, forcing only a couple of saves out of home keeper Deren Ibrahim.
That trend continued after half-time, with Leatherhead sealing the win with just over 15 minutes remaining when substitute Leroy Griffiths tapped home from a quick counter-attack.
GFC remain one place outside of the play-offs.
