A vibrant second-half display saw Guernsey come from behind to earn another crucial win at Footes Lane on Saturday night.

In strong winds and tough playing conditions, the Green Lions trailed at half-time through Billy Medlock’s well-taken strike, but responded magnificently in the first few minutes after the interval.

Ross Allen curled in a stunning 25-yard free-kick within moments of the restart before Dave Rihoy’s strike minutes later turned it around completely for GFC, only for Eastbourne to strike again and make it 2-2, all within 10 minutes of the second half.

But when substitute Ryan-Zico Black blasted into the top corner, GFC took more control and Sam Cochrane’s late strike made the points safe, although the Sarnian skipper injured his ankle celebrating, leaving Tony Vance light on centre-back options.
