Mickel Miller had given the hosts the lead just before the break but GFC kept plugging away despite being without several key players, which saw a first start for teenager Danny Hale in attack, Etienne Le Prevost in midfield and Josh Steel at centre-back. It was also pleasing to welcome back Jason Winch after more than two years out battling a cruciate knee injury.
Polish goalkeeper Jakub Macklowski also appear for the Green Lions for the first time and made some impressive saves.
