887Guernsey stuttered to a win in their first home game of the season against a Carshalton Athletic side who perhaps deserved more.
Matt Loaring gave GFC the lead on 17 minutes, which was doubled by Ross Allen within two minutes of the second half as the pair got off the mark for the season.
Kingsley Aikhionbare pulled one back with less than 20 minutes to go, and it was the least the visitors deserved, with the Green Lions thankful for captain Chris Tardif, who made several good saves. Carshalton also missed a penalty.
