880Guernsey’s perfect start to the season is over after promotion hopefuls Folkestone Invicta scored in the final few minutes to earn all three points.
The Green Lions led through Ross Allen’s 18th-minute strike, but Jordan Wright equalised midway through the second half and grabbed the winner with four minutes of normal time left. The GFC defence claimed Wright handballed in the build-up but the referee disagreed.
On the whole, Tony Vance’s side defended relatively well against a strong side, but Invicta just about deserved the win.
