League - Isthmian League Division One SouthAttendance
212Guernsey continued their fine run of form in Isthmian South on Saturday, making it five wins out of six with an accomplished display despite being a bit short on numbers.
Their substitutes bench consisted of just two outfield players, one with just a handful of minutes under his belt as a sub in Blair Howitt, and forward Kyle Smith, who has not played this season.
The Green Lions came out of the blocks quickly, going into the driving seat through Marc McGrath – only his second of the season so far – and Ross Allen inside the opening quarter-hour.
A professional away display kept the Kent side at bay to ensure just a second clean sheet of the season, even when GFC went down to 10 men late on when Blair Howitt was sent off for a high foot just a few minutes after coming on.
