The Green Lionesses quickly got over the disappointment of their late concession against Rozel to brush aside Jersey Wanderers with ease, making it a title procession with an outstanding five-goal haul for Gracia van Zutphen (only Ross Allen has done that for Guernsey FC before).
Van Zutphen had a bace with little more than 10 minutes on the clock, then a series of tidy finishes to bag an additional hat-trick in just seven minutes around the midway point of the second half took her and her team’s total to five and catapulted her up to joint third in the all-time scorers list for the women’s team.
Jessie Staples poked home from a corner to make it six on 82 minutes with her first goal for the club, Chloe Ingrouille finished off a great run with a goal of her own and Calleigh Hedley made sure she had her say on the day by scoring with virtually the final kick of the game.
