Guernsey can move six points clear of the Isthmian South Central danger zone with a win on Tuesday night as they tick off another new opponent and ground in visiting Chalfont St Peter.
The Green Lions can also move up to 13th in the table, within touching distance of the middle pack. Three of their four wins since the start of February have come away from home.
Kyle Smith comes back in to bolster Tony Vance’s attacking options as the Sarnians have an early opportunity to shake off the frustrations of Sunday’s defeat to Hanwell Town.
Chalfont are desperate for points after their defeat to survival rivals Sutton Common Rovers at the weekend left them six points adrift of safety. They have won two, drawn four and lost seven of their 10 games since the turn of the year.
The Saints were transferred over from the Southern League in 2018 but have played at Step Four since 2011.
Tuesday’s match at Mill Lane kicks off at 7.45pm. Fans back in Guernsey can catch the action live on GFCTV, and are encouraged to gather at ‘Le Lion Vert’ at the Guernsey Hockey Club at Footes Lane to watch it together. Highlights and a full match report will follow.
