Guernsey FC is delighted to confirm new multi-year financial support from Guy and Julia Hands and Maggie and Steve Lansdown. This vital commitment will help the Club stabilise operations and continue delivering community impact while a broader funding base is built.
How the new support will be used
The funding is targeted at footballing and operational priorities, including:
- Support for the first-team squad and player pathway (player support and welfare)
- Coaching and administrative resources for the Club (e.g., manager, coaches and admin)
- Dedicated investment in the Women’s Team (including coaching and travel support)
- Dedicated investment in the Development Team (including coaching and travel support)
Note: Existing sponsorships for first-team travel and visiting teams remain essential and are unaffected by this commitment.
Continued sponsorship from Hand Picked Hotels
In parallel, Hand Picked Hotels, chaired by Julia Hands, will continue as Guernsey FC’s Official Sponsor and as a Platinum Founding Partner of the new Victoria Park Stadium— further underscoring the long-standing relationship between the Club and the Group.
Call for wider support
While this combined backing is significant, the Club is inviting local businesses, philanthropists and supporters to join as sponsors and donors to secure a resilient, long-term future for football on the island.
Julia Hands, Chairman of Guernsey FC and Chairman of Hand Picked Hotels, said:
“Guy and I are proud to support Guernsey FC at this important moment. Football has the power to bring people together and inspire future generations. This Club plays a unique role in our island community and we want to help safeguard that. But we cannot do it alone—we hope our commitment encourages others to step forward.”
Steve Lansdown said:
“We are pleased to stand alongside Guy and Julia in helping Guernsey FC plan with confidence. Sustained support from across the community will be key to unlocking the Club’s ambitions and ensuring football continues to thrive in Guernsey.”
Tony Vance, Manager of Guernsey FC added:
“We are hugely grateful for this generous commitment. It gives us breathing space to focus on football and community programmes. To secure our long-term future we still need more partners and donors, and we welcome conversations with anyone who can help.”
