Massive thanks are due to Infrasoft Technologies, who have confirmed they are to continue to be our main event sponsor for our annual Matt Le Tissier Golf Day The Golf Club at St Pierre Park Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort.
The evening event will once again take place at St Pierre Park Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort.
Last year a total of eighteen teams of four took part in the Golf Day 2019, with Specsavers ending the day as overall winners. In second place were the TDS Southern Ltd foursome headed by Robin Bishop, our UK Physiotherapy assistant & kit man, while third place honours went to Greg Forino Flooring, featuring ex-Spurs player David Bentley.
The day raised much-needed funds for Ernie’s Angels and GFC.
Plaudits also went to Kevin Le Tissier, Matt’s brother, for coming nearest to the pin on the 4th hole, with Charlton Gauvain – normally millimetre-perfect when aiming a different kind of ball – missing out to Kevin by a mere inch! Fellow GFC striker Will Fazakerley came closest to the pin on the 6th hole, and the main man Matt Le Tissier himself was nearest on the 8th.
Ernie’s Angels also held a Closest to the Pin competition on the driving range, raising nearly £800. We’re very grateful to Nineteen Bar and Grill, for helping boost the funds raised by donating a beer to anyone who pledged £10 to Ernie’s Angels during the competition.
Last year the day was rounded off by an evening event at Hand Picked Hotels’ St Pierre Park Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort, with prizes and top-notch entertainment provided by singer Toby Falla and magician Louis Kennedy.
