Jacob’s ban rescinded, Acey now out

Defender Jacob Fallaize has had his red card against Chalfont St Peter recinded after a successful appeal by the club for a case of mistaken identity.

Midfielder Ben Acey was inlvolved in an altercation with a Chalfont defender in the second half last Tuesday which the referee deemed worthy of a dismissal, but after a discussion with the assistant referee, Fallaize was bizarrely sent off instead despite being nowhere near the incident. His protests fell on deaf ears at the time.

The GFCTV footage was sent to The FA for review, and the three-match ban has been transferred to Acey.

This means Fallaize is available for Tuesday night’s trip to Basingstoke Town. Preview to follow.
