Guernsey are back on the road to Kent in the FA Vase and will visit another new opponent in Snodland Town in the second round.
The draw was confirmed on Monday lunchtime. Snodland are also a Step 5 side, promoted in 2023. They play in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division, where they are eighth but just three points off the top in a tightly packed top half. They finished 18th last season, surviving by a point ahead of Lydd Town, who had a better goal difference but had a point deducted for fielding an ineligible player.
Reaching the second round is Snodland’s joint-best performance in the competition, having reached the same stage in 2023-24. They beat Cove 2-0 in the first round on Saturday.
The tie will take place at the Potyns Sports Ground the weekend of Saturday 8th November, which means our scheduled home fixture with Eastbourne United will be postponed until a new date is found. We will provide more information about both matches as soon as we have it.
