Guernsey are looking to sign off for Christmas in style at Victoria Park as Seaford Town visit for our return fixture on Saturday.
Four wins in a row has seen the Green Lions reel in some of the teams above them and could end the day as high as third in the Southern Combination Premier Division with a win, depending on other results. If Tony Vance’s side were to get that fifth straight victory in a row, it would be their best winning run for 11 years.
The game is still too soon for Simon Arnold, Tom Vaudin, Jacques Cauvin and Niall Hainsworth. Seb Vance will be out for a while with a shoulder injury and Matt Loaring is a long-term absentee. Latest double centurion Charlton Gauvain is suspended after accumulating five yellow cards, while Frazer Maginnis and Callum Le Lacheur are also unavailable.
After a ropey start, Seaford’s form has really picked up and they have won six of their last 10 games to ease away from the relegation zone into midtable. They lost 2-0 to Bexhill United last time out. Joshua Wright is their top goalscorer with nine.
The Green Lions battled hard in August to come away with a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture, with Sam Murray scoring a late winner. Muzza is on a hot streak with seven goals in his last four games.
