Guernsey will kick off the 2026-27 Southern Combination Premier Division season at home on 1st August.
Pagham are up first at Victoria Park next. They were the first away side to triumph on the island last season, coming away with a 4-2 win, and were the only side to not lose a game to the Sarnians in the league (Horsham YM also did the double over us but we beat them in the play-off semi-final).
Then it’s straight on to a reunion with relegated East Grinstead Town on the evening of Tuesday 4th August. The Wasps dropped out of Isthamian South East last season after collecting just six points.
There will then be a couple of weeks’ break from league action after that so the Green Lions can host Crowborough Athletic in the FA Cup extra-preliminary round on 8th August before heading to Newhaven for the first qualifying round of the FA Vase on Sat 15th.
Some early season fixtures are likely to move due to cup progress for either GFC or their league opponents.
Other key dates to note include our final game of the season in which we host Seaford Town, meaning we will start and end the league season at Victoria Park. We also have a run of four straight home games between 28th December 2026 and 23rd January 2027, meaning the first post-Christmas game is at home to Forest Row (the reverse of last season) we see in the new year at home to Billingshurst. Our return with new opponent Billingshurst on 27th March, while other new opponent Hassocks come to Guernsey on 5th December and host Tony Vance’s side on 10th April, our penultimate league game.
