Following confirmation from the Southern Combination Football League, our fixture against Midhurst & Easebourne will be replayed in full next month.
The original fixture earlier this month at Midhurst was abandoned due to an injury to a home player.
After going into the break ahead, quickfire goals from Cauvin and Fazakerley early in the second half extended the lead to 4–1. However, with around 20 minutes remaining, a Midhurst player landed awkwardly following an aerial challenge, resulting in a stoppage. The referee subsequently took the decision to abandon the game to allow the player to receive treatment.
The fixture will now be replayed on Tuesday 14th April, with a 19:45 kick-off at the Rotherfield. No Guernsey appearances or goal stats from the match will be included in the official club records.
The rearranged fixture adds to a busy April, with six big games ahead, and we’ll need your support as we push to finish the season strongly and keep our play-off hopes alive.
