Guernsey’s first away trip in the Southern Combination Premier Division is a midweek one as they visit the East Sussex seaside to take on newly promoted Seaford Town on Tuesday evening.
Forward Sam Murray, who opened his account for the season with the third goal in the 4-1 win over Wick on Saturday, is set to make his 100th appearance for the club, swiftly following Tom Vaudin becoming a centurion on Saturday.
Josh Addison is unable to travel, so Seb Sheppard will don the gloves, while Fin du Port is work-tied so there will be a change to the line-up in midfield. Niall Hainsworth is also in line for a first appearance of the season having recovered from injury.
New opponents Seaford Town – Seaford is a seaside town in East Sussex – are also new to the league, having won Division One last season, pipping Forest Row to the title by two points. The Badgers made the play-off final the season before but were beaten on penalties by our opponents from Saturday, Wick. Their opening league fixture was a 4-1 defeat to one of the league’s expected front runners Haywards Heath Town, but their entry into the FA Cup for the first time was a successful one as they beat Sutton Athletic 1-0 in their debut in the extra preliminary round.
