First and foremost, happy Liberation Day to all our supporters and the wider island community.
We have good news – IT’S COMING HOME.
Guernsey FC is delighted to confirm that, following further discussions with the Southern Combination Football League Board and Peacehaven & Telscombe FC, the Play-off Final will take place at Victoria Park Stadium on Saturday 23 May.
The fixture will kick off at 1.30pm and promises to be a memorable occasion for players, supporters and everyone connected with the club, with promotion on the line in what is set to be one of the biggest afternoons in Guernsey FC’s recent history.
Hosting the Play-off Final at Victoria Park is exactly what the club set out to achieve at the beginning of the season and represents a fitting conclusion to our first full campaign at our new home. Following an incredible year on and off the pitch, the opportunity to compete for promotion on home soil is something everyone associated with Guernsey FC can look forward to with genuine excitement and pride.
We would also like to place on record our sincere thanks to supporters for their backing and the many positive messages received following the league’s previous decision. The response from across the island and beyond has once again demonstrated the passion, unity and spirit that make this football club so special.
We now look forward to welcoming Peacehaven & Telscombe FC to Guernsey later this month, with both clubs battling for promotion in front of what promises to be another incredible atmosphere at Victoria Park.
Ticket details and further information will be announced in due course via the club’s official channels, so make sure you like and follow our social channels for all the latest updates. Once again, season ticket holders’ seats will be protected.
For now, keep the date free, be there, be loud and roar the team on with pride. Let’s turn Victoria Park into a sea of green for one more special day together.
