For a long time the club's all-time record appearance holder and one of GFC's most dependable and available players, club captain Dodd is a dominant centre-back, but was useful as a marauding left-back in his younger years.
Dodd was Guernsey FC’s unquestioned player of the season for 2012-13 after he picked up a hat-trick of supporters, coaches and players’ player-of-the-year awards during the end-of-season dinner.
He forced his way into the starting XI for the Guernsey representative side early in 2011 after being a patient understudy and has not looked back since, grabbing his opportunity with both hands.
Good in the air and has his reading of the game and ability to bring the ball out of defence is superb, while his long throws pose a danger to any defence and can be a deadly weapon in GFC's attack.
Picked up a troublesome hip injury just before Guernsey FC began that delayed his involvement, but scored a cracking goal on his debut and soon cemented his spot.
Prior to the formation of GFC, he was a member of the Guernsey squad that represented England in the UEFA Regions Cup in Croatia in 2010 and played against Wales, where he grabbed two assists.
Surpassed Dominic Heaume as the clubs all-time record appearance holder in late 2018 and became the first player to reach 300 games.
Jamie will wear the #3 shirt for the 2024-25 season, a number he has made his own throughout his GFC career.
