Rocco keeps chasing 300

Can the Green Lions produce fireworks on Guy Fawkes Night?

Ross Allen continues his quest for his 300th goal for Guernsey as they head off for their first midweek away game of the season at Leatherhead on Tuesday night.

Allen came close with a couple of efforts against Hayes & Yeading United on Saturday, including hitting the post, but couldn’t quite find a goal to grab a useful point for the Green Lions.

The Sarnians are looking for their second win of the season to close the gap on the teams above them on the edge of the relegation zone.

The Tanners have picked up their form as predicted after a shaky start, and have won four of their last six. They lost narrowly to Raynes Park Vale at the weekend, but are the only team to have beaten Farnham Town in the league since February 2023, ending a run of 58 league games without defeat.

This is a quick return fixture, with Leatherhead winning 3-0 at Footes Lane in September. Our visit to Fetcham Grove was a late 1-0 defeat, but Josh Addison came close to nicking an equaliser in injury time as he came up for a corner.

Tuesday night’s game kicks off at 7.45pm. Fans not making the journey to Fetcham Grove can watch full live coverage on our YouTube channel or listen to full live commentary on our @GuernseyFC X space. We will also have our usual social media text updates. Keep an eye out later for when we post the link to the GFCTV coverage. Highlights and a match report will be available after the game.
