Guernsey are looking to continue their 100% winning start to the season as they visit Little Common for the first time on Saturday afternoon.
Club captain Jamie Dodd is in line for his first appearance of the season having taken part in the development side’s Spirit Cup matches to regain fitness. Tom Dodds is also fit again after missing the FA Vase win over Bexhill United with injury.
Charlton Gauvain will likely miss a few weeks with the shoulder injury that forced him off early last weekend. Matt Loaring is still nursing a knee injury from pre-season and Jacques Cauvin will be out a few more weeks with the impact injury that forced him off against Bedfont Sports in our first match of the season in the FA Cup. Ross Allen is away, while a knock from the Bexhill game means Jacob Fallaize is taking a rest.
We are seventh in the Southern Combination Premier Division but have played a game less than all the teams above us and are one of just three teams to win all their games so far.
Little Common picked up their first win of the season at Eastbourne United on Monday night. The Green Lane Boys survived relegation by two points last season. They have been in the Premier Division since 2018. Southall knocked them out of the FA Cup extra-preliminary round in a replay at the start of the month.
Saturday’s match kicks off at 2pm. Fans not travelling to the Little Common Recreation Ground in Bexhill-on-Sea can listen to full live coverage on our @GuernseyFC X Space. A full match report will follow on the website.
