Vance pleased with options for Marlow visit

Guernsey visit a new ground tonight as they take on another Isthmian South Central high-flyers in the form of Buckinghamshire-based Marlow.

Frank Tobin returns, having been forced to miss Saturday’s game against Chertsey Town as he was stuck in the UK due to flight cancellations caused by Storm Arwen. Kyle Smith has also shaken off a minor knock and rejoins the group.

Our two Bens, Le Tocq and Acey, will reach double figures in appearances if they play a part in the game.

Jordan Kelly will retain his place in goal following a solid outing against Chertsey, with Josh Addison not travelling. Of those involved in the 1-0 defeat to the Curfews, only Matt Loaring is unavailable. Keanu Marsh and Louis Graham remain sidelined with injury, while Kieran Mahon is still away.

Liam Mahon could make his 100th start in league competition, and it would be his 120th appearance overall.

The full travelling squad is as follows: Jordan Kelly, Tyler McKane, Frank Tobin, Tom Strawbridge, Jamie Dodd, Ben Le Tocq, Thomas Dodds, Tom Martin, Seb Skillen, Liam Mahon, Ben Acey, Charlton Gauvain, Carlos Canha, Ross Allen, Kyle Smith.

The Green Lions are looking to end a five match winless run and could move up two places to 14th depending on other results.

The Blues have not played a home league game for more than a month, their last league outing at the Alfred Davis Ground being their first defeat of the season to Hanwell Town. Overall, they have won seven of 11 league games, drawing two and losing two. One player to be particularly wary of is Nnamdi Nwachuku, who has netted 15 times in all competitions.

Tuesday night’s game kicks off at 7.45pm. For those unable to make it to the Alfred Davis Ground, the game will be available to watch in Guernsey live on GFCTV. Highlights and a match report will be available after the game.
