Guernsey FC Development are runners up in the Spirit Cup again after losing to St Martin’s in the final for the second year running.
The top two from the group stage met at Victoria Park on Wednesday night, just a week after Saints won 5-2 in the group stage.
It was another well contested game, with Saints leading 2-0 at half-time. A brace from Tyrese Kelly in the second half brought Leon Meakin’s side level, but the Priaulx League side netted again to win the contest.
The young Green Lions now wait to see their fixture list for their entry into the Southern Combination Football League U23 East Divsion.
First-team midfielder Fin du Port got some valuable minutes after missing some of pre-season due to holiday as he looks to earn a place back in Tony Vance’s squad.
